The HHS Office of the General Counsel (“OGC”), Public Health Division, NIH Branch is now welcoming applications from summer intern law student candidates. To ensure consideration, all applications must be received by Thursday, January 31, 2013.

The chosen intern will gain invaluable exposure to public health issues from the perspective of the Federal government. Specifically, the summer intern will assist attorneys in the NIH Branch with a variety of legal matters that they routinely handle for the 27 institutes and centers of the NIH. Some of these issues may involve grants, contracts, administrative procedure, privacy, animal welfare, NIH relationships with third parties, intellectual property, and technology transfer. This summer internship is a full-time, unpaid volunteer position.
