• Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
• JD is required
• Minimum 10 years of sophisticated commercial or transactional legal experience working on long term, high value and complex product sales, feedstock purchase, exchange, pipeline transportation, storage, industrial gas or processing agreements;
• Strong commercial, transactional and client advisory skills; experience in downstream energy business is beneficial and previous chemical industry experience preferred
• Candidate should have competitive credentials and related experience from corporate in-house, governmental, and/or leading law firm practice;
• Member in good standing of TX bar (or ability to acquire that status within 12 months);
• Confidence to make decisions in ambiguous circumstances without significant management oversight;
• Proven ability to prioritize time spent on particular matters by value and risk;
• Proven ability to defend difficult positions and achieve balance with commercial considerations;
• Proven ability to identify and mitigate commercial and legal risk;
• Willingness to mentor junior lawyers and legal professionals as needed;
• Global mindset and ability to work virtually with lawyers in other regions;

• Analytical skills with ability to creatively approach difficult or complex problems.
• Interpersonal and strong influencing skills – ability to work within a team effectively interacting with clients, peers and other service providers.
