Puerto Rican Bar Association Celebrates 55th Annual Scholarship Fund Gala

May 10 | New York, NY – HNBA Affiliate the Puerto Rican Bar Association celebrated its 55th Annual Scholarship Fund Gala, with the theme of “Celebrating a Commitment to Social and Civic Responsibility” at the Hilton New York City Hotel.  The annual black-tie fund raising event brought together over 500 esteemed members of the legal and business community to honor talented individuals who made significant contributions to the Puerto Rican/Latino community and to provide scholarship grants to eight outstanding law students from our metropolitan area.  Our 2012 distinguished Honorees were:

Hon. Carmen Ciparick, Senior Associate Judge of the Court of Appeals;

Juan Cartagena, President and General Counsel of LatinoJustice PRLDEF;

Harris Beach PLLC, Recipient of the Law Firm Diversity Award;

MetLife, Recipient of the Corporate Diversity Award
