The Office of the New York State Attorney General is seeking experienced attorneys, preferably with trial experience, to serve in the Investor Protection Bureau located in New York City. The bureau, which has both regulatory and enforcement authority, protects the public from fraud and misrepresentation in the offering and sale of securities, commodities, franchises and insurance products.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the investigation and litigation of fraud and regulation of securities, commodities, insurance and other business activities and products. Candidates with (1) a law or regulatory enforcement background, (2) knowledge of the Martin Act, federal and state securities laws, (3) trial experience, and (4) excellent analytical, writing and editing skills are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a minimum of two years of experience. The selected applicant must be admitted to practice law in New York State and reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York State.
