DEPUTY FEDERAL PUBLIC DEFENDER
The Office of the Federal Public Defender, Central District of California, is seeking applications for an attorney position in its Los Angeles trial unit. Attorneys in this unit represent indigent individuals charged with violating federal criminal statutes.
Qualified applicants must be admitted to practice law in California or be prepared to take the California bar exam when next offered; have at least two years experience in the practice of law or as a judicial clerk; have a demonstrated commitment to indigent criminal defense and/or public interest law; and possess excellent research and writing skills. Salary is commensurate with experience.
