Join us out on the court – and course – for a fun game of tennis or golf, and casual, easy-going business networking. ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME, INCLUDING BEGINNERS! This event is strategically designed to promote interaction among in-house lawyers (including those who represent our national sponsors) government attorneys, lawyers in private practice, judges, law school administrators and law students. We mix it up by creating teams according to career path as well as skill level. Relationships will flow naturally among teammates – and competitors! Tennis players will follow a round robin format; while golfers have a shotgun start and play a scramble format. A MERCEDES BENZ AWAITS THE GOLFER WHO MAKES A HOLE-IN-ONE!
You don’t play tennis or golf? Neither do many of our guests. Join us anyway! We have plenty to keep you entertained while you socialize. Florida law students will host a Wii Competition and the Puerto Rican Bar of Florida will host a Domino Tournament. Would you consider mentoring a young Hispanic child? In 2012 our national partner BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS will join us at the Tournament, as they bring out a special group of Hispanic children in need of mentors, for a mentor-matching activity set around a QuickStart Tennis game organized by the HNBA and the USTA of Florida.
We promise to feed you right! Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be catered. Prior to dinner, we will serve happy hour cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Dinner will begin with the presentation of awards and our guest speaker. After dinner, get ready to dance the night away!
Note: Tennis and Golf players competing in the Tournament will not be able to participate in the guest activities, as these overlap with the Tournaments. Guests: Please choose below the activities in which you’d like to participate. If you’d like, bring a change of clothes for the afternoon and evening – but keep it casual. There are large locker rooms for your use at the Tennis Center. You may take a shower but must bring your own toiletries and towels.
