Nominate a Latina Pioneer for 2010 Commission Awards

HNBA STATUS OF LATINAS COVERThe HNBA Commission on the Status of Latinas in the Profession (Commission) is currently accepting nominations for its 2nd Annual Awards.  The Commission’s Annual Award and Special Recognition of local Latina Primeras will be presented at the 35th Annual HNBA Annual Convention and 2nd Judicial Summit on September 8-11, 2010 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  At the Commission’s Annual Luncheon, HNBA awards also will be presented to the Latina Attorney of the Year and Latina Judge of the Year. The purpose of Law Primeras to continue the tradition of recognizing and honoring Latina lawyer pioneers who left her own unique mark on the legal profession, by actively paving the road to success for the Latino community or other Latina lawyers. The Award also will recognize Latina lawyers who demonstrate excellence in a variety of professional settings and personify excellence on either the national, regional, or local level.  Click here to download the nomination form and instructions.
