Ricardo Aponte-Parsi is an attorney in private practice and a Business and Government Affairs consultant in the U.S. Territory of Puerto Rico. He obtained a B.A. from Syracuse University (1991) with a major in International Relations and his Juris Doctor from the Inter American University School of Law of Puerto Rico (“Facultad de Derecho Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico”) (2000). He served for two years as Assistant for Federal Affairs to the President of the State Senate of Puerto Rico (1997-1999), the Honorable Charles A. Rodriguez.

His areas of practice include in Civil Law, Contracts, Corporate Law and Real Estate, M & A, Wills, Non Profits, Eminent Domain issues and Notary work. Furthermore, he is a Senior Associate with Amelia Consulting Group, LLC., a strategic consulting firm with offices in Washington, DC, Mexico City and San Juan. The firm specializes in Fundraising and Non Profit Management.

Mr. Aponte-Parsi is also associated with ICG Puerto Rico LLC, the representative in Puerto Rico for International Consulting Group A.C., an international network offering legal, accounting, business development and business management services to international clients.

Currently he serves as the regional president for the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) for Puerto Rico and the USVI and is the Co-Chair of the 2007 HNBA Convention Committee. He is currently the President of the Interamerican Association of Businesspeople (AIHE for its Spanish acronym) and Chair of the Federal Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Puerto Rico. In addition, he is a member of a number of professional and civic organizations such as Pro-Bono, Inc, the Santurce Rotary Club, the American Association of Grant Professionals (AAGP), the American Association of Political Consultants, the Puerto Rico Bar Association and the American Bar Association (ABA). He and his wife Waleska Rodriguez (LD/MHSN) are the proud parents of a daughter named Monica.
