Unidos in Washington: Our Struggle, Our Progress

Welcome to our nation's capital, Washington D.C., and to the Hispanic National Bar Association's 39th Annual Convention!

Please join us at the Renaissance Hotel in Downtown DC for the 2014 HNBA Annual Convention on September 10-13, 2014. The Convention will gather hundreds of attorneys, judges, and law students for a valuable and enjoyable three-day program featuring Continuing Legal Education (CLE) panels on cutting edge topics with leading practitioners, national policy makers, and experts from across the country; networking events and workshops; the nation’s largest Hispanic Career Fair (for both attorneys and law students) with exhibitors from prominent law firms, corporations, and government agencies; and various social activities showcasing the best of DC.

This year's theme, "Unidos en Washington: Our Struggle, Our Progress," celebrates an important milestone in the nation’s history – the 50thanniversary of the Civil Right Act of 1964. During this historic convention, the HNBA will reflect on our achievements as a bar association and as a nation, and we will chart new directions to help us meet the challenges ahead.

In 2014, against the backdrop of the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech, we are proud of our Association’s more than four decades of accomplishments; yet we remain mindful that our mission is as vital today as it was the day of the HNBA founding in 1972.

The Hispanic National Bar Association is proud to host its 39th HNBA Annual Convention in collaboration with its Affiliate, the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia (HBA-DC).
