HNBA Unveils Video that Chronicles the HNBA’s 15th Annual Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition
The HNBA is proud to unveil a video that chronicles the HNBA’s 15th Annual Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition which was held in San Diego, California on March 4-6, 2010. The video highlights this very important HNBA program which is part of the HNBA’s charitable and educational mission.
Annually, 32 teams from the top law schools in the country compete at this very prestigious event that enables law students to hone their brief-writing and oral advocacy skills while exploring a complex legal issue with constitutional implications in a simulated courtroom experience. The moot court competitition makes for a very rewarding educational experience for participating law students. “The HNBA’s Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition is an HNBA crown jewel. As the video highlights, student winners of the competition received scholarships awarded by the HNBA at the event’s closing gala dinner in the name of The HNBA Legal Education Fund, the HNBA’s only affiliated foundation.
The HNBA Legal Education Fund is dedicated to supporting the HNBA’s charitable and educational mission by supporting programs like the HNBA’s moot court competition that is organized for the benefit of law students,” said Roman D. Hernandez, HNBA National President. “When one views this video, one cannot help but see the positive influence that this expierence has had on Hispanic law students who participated in the competition. It is inspiring to see and proof that the HNBA has made an impact in the lives of law students,” concluded Hernandez.
