HBA-DC Hosts an Evening with Assistant Attorney General Ignacia S. Moreno

Apr. 25 | Washington, DC – As part of its “An Evening with” series, HBA-DC, in cooperation with the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) and the DC Bar’s Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources Section, sponsored a conversation with Ignacia S. Moreno, the Assistant Attorney General for the Environment and Natural Resources Division at the United States Department of Justice. Ms. Moreno spoke about her career path from the time she arrived in the United States at the age of six, when she spoke only Spanish, to one of the top legal posts at the Department of Justice, demonstrating her personal record is one of overcoming challenges. Ms. Moreno also spoke about her passion for her work and service to the community. Ms. Moreno is a past President of the HBA-DC (2000-2001) and served pro bono as General Counsel to the HNBA (2008-2009). The HBA-DC is very thankful to Ms. Moreno and the law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP for hosting the event.
