Deputy Chief Counsel – Location: Washington, DC – Salary Range: $120,749 to $174,300
The FRA is currently recruiting for the Senior Executive Service (SES) position of Deputy Chief Counsel. The Deputy Chief Counsel will provide guidance in addressing legal issues associated with the establishment and execution of policy, programs, and procedures. The incumbent must have senior-level legal experience on enforcement, regulatory or legislative activities, as well as strong communication skills to work with a wide-range of stakeholders, from members of Congress, to the public, in carrying out the agency’s legal responsibilities.
- The incumbent will be required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and will be subject to drug testing.
- All applicants must have successfully completed a full course of study in a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association leading to a professional law degree – JD or LLB.
- All applicants must be an active member in good standing of a state, territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico bar.
