HNBA 2010 Annual Convention: El Futuro Sin Límite/Future Without Limits

This year the HNBA hosted its 35th Annual Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 8-11, 2010. Over the course of the four day Convention, the HNBA convened dozens of panels, bringing together practitioners and leading experts to discuss the latest in the legal profession and public policy. Along with these cutting-edge Continuing Legal Education panels, the HNBA conducted its yearly Career Fair, the nation’s largest career fair for experienced Hispanic lawyers and law students, where employers were matched with talented job seekers. The HNBA continued its tradition of addressing the needs of the pipeline through the Youth Symposium, a day-long program focused on exposing middle and high school students the opportuntieso the legal profession.

We were honored that many of our distinguished members of the HNBA Judicial Council joined us, including The Hon. Paul Anderson who addressed middle, high school and law students with and inspirational message as part of the HNBA Youth Symposium.

The HNBA Standing Commission on the Status of Latinas in the Legal Profession released its second ground-breaking study entitled “Challenges and Rewards in Serving the Public Interest”. The report provides both qualitative and quantitative data on Latinas in the Legal Profession.
